The rules

Outside Quest Halloween Giveaway 2026: the rules

The giveaway is run by Outside Quest (outsidequest.co.za, Instagram @outsidequestza). It's free to enter.

1. Dates

Entries open when our giveaway posts go live on Tuesday 6 October 2026 and close on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 23:59 (South African time). Entries after the closing time don't count.

2. Who can enter

  • South African residents aged 18 or older with a delivery address in South Africa.
  • The owners of Outside Quest, their families, and anyone who supplies goods or services for this giveaway can't enter or win.

3. How to enter

  • Entry: follow @outsidequestza on Instagram, like one of our Halloween giveaway posts, and comment on it tagging a mom (or any friend) who needs this. That's 1 entry. Comments on our Halloween giveaway ads count too.
  • Bonus entry: share one of our Halloween giveaway posts to your Instagram story and tag @outsidequestza in it, so we can see it. That's 1 more entry.
  • Each person can have up to 2 entries (1 comment entry and 1 story entry). More comments don't add more entries.
  • You must still be following @outsidequestza when we draw the winner.
  • We may remove entries from fake, spam or giveaway-only accounts, or entries that break Instagram's rules.

4. The prize

  • One prize: the Outside Quest Kit with the main Quest Book and the new Halloween Quest. That includes the Quest Cam (a kids instant print camera), 8 paper rolls, the Quest Book (30 missions) and the Halloween Quest (12 missions). It doesn't include the Rainy Day or Christmas Quest Packs. Retail value R2,499.
  • Delivery anywhere in South Africa is free. We'll courier the prize on Wednesday 28 October 2026 and aim for it to arrive before Halloween (Saturday 31 October). Delivery times depend on the courier, and some outlying areas can take longer.
  • The prize can't be swapped for cash. If an item isn't available, we may replace it with an item of the same or higher value.

5. Already bought a kit? If you win, we refund you

  • You never have to buy anything to enter or win, and buying doesn't give you extra entries.
  • If the winner placed an order on outsidequest.co.za between 6 October 2026 and 27 October 2026 at 23:59 (South African time), we'll refund that order in full, including delivery. They keep what they bought and still get the prize.
  • The order must be in the winner's name, or use the email address or phone number they give us when they claim the prize. We refund one order per winner, to the original payment method, within 7 days of the winner confirming their details.
  • If that order was already cancelled or returned and refunded, there's nothing more to refund.

6. How the winner is chosen and announced

  • On Wednesday 28 October 2026 we'll pick 1 winner at random from all valid entries. The draw is screen-recorded and overseen by an independent accountant, auditor or attorney.
  • We'll announce the winner's Instagram handle in our Instagram stories and on the giveaway post that day, and send them a message from @outsidequestza.
  • The winner has 12 hours to reply with their name, delivery address, phone number and ID number. The ID number is only for the records the Consumer Protection Act requires us to keep. If the winner doesn't reply in time, we'll draw another winner the same way.
  • We will only ever contact the winner from @outsidequestza. We will never ask for money, card details or banking details. If another account messages you about this giveaway, it isn't us.

7. Photos and publicity

We may ask the winner if we can share their handle or photos of the prize. Saying no is fine and doesn't affect the prize in any way.

8. Your information

We only use entrants' details to run this giveaway and deliver the prize. We keep the winner's details and the giveaway records for 3 years, as the Consumer Protection Act requires, and handle them in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

9. Instagram

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta. By entering, you release Instagram and Meta from any responsibility for it.
